Art Deco Sterling Mirror, Chatelaine Purse Sized
This Sterling Art Deco Mirror has lovely etching and engine turning detail on both the Chatelaine handle and the back of the mirror. The mirror itself is in excellcent condition for it's age. The handle is stamped with the following: Sterling, (Y), a stylized T, and 289. The shape of the stamping and the stylized T appear to be the makers mark for Thomae Company out of Attleboro Massachusetts. They were started in the 1920's and are a manufacturer of small novelty & Sterling Silver items. They are still in business. The back of the mirror is engraved PW. The glass does have a few scratches on it that do not show up well in a few of the pictures, but can be seen in the last picture. This mirror would fit nicely in an evening purse and make for an excellent conversation item.
For your enjoyment, all purchases ship gift wrapped with a blank gift card. This item will ship in a velvet pouch.
