Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring - Early 1900s

This product is unavailable
A lovely Old Mine Cut Diamond ring from the turn of the century.  The 14K ring is comprised of multiple etched bands of gold that blend together.  The Old Mine Cut Diamond is estimated at 0.25 (one quarter carat).  This is a clean diamond with no noticeable inclusions.  Clarity is estimated at SI1, due to a chip towards the side of the diamond.  The chip is slightly visible to the eye, if the diamond is up close and you go looking for it.  The chip isn't large enough to affect everyday enjoyment.  Each prong has two pegs that hold the diamond in, for a total of 8 pegs.  One peg out of the 8 is not holding the diamond, but the other 7 pegs are.  The diamond does have nice sparkle and no dark inclusions were noted.  This would make a great antique present.
